Pretty, Happpy Funny, Real....Getting in to the Swing of Summer

A summer bouquet from the yard.

                                                              Super moon!

I can't even tell you how excited I am to find these. Milk that is lightly pasteurized from a local farn and sold in bottles which you pay a deposit on and them exchange for your next bottle. THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE TO ME!

Sword fight at Aunt Maureen's pool. We picked a perfect day to hang with Granny, Aunt Patty, Timmy Maddie, Hannah, Colleen, and Melina and of course Aunt Maureen...swimming laps and floating in the pool on noodles is my idea of a perfect summer day.

The weather this week has been unpredictable....sunshine one minute and then the next thing you know it is raining cats and dogs...the sky has been amazing.

Look at this cute little guy we saw at The Bird Sanctuary! My friend Beth suggested we try to do the Summer Passport program this summer and so this was our first stop. It was a very warm day but we survived a nice hike in the woods.

The second stamp we got in our little passport book was from The Innfield. Go carting, golfing, ice cream snacks and just hanging out.

Pretty, Happy, Funny, (Cute) and Real

Pretty!

Driving Rt. 30 on a beautiful June day in Ohio!

Happy!

This makes me very happy...the men of the family built me a little box to use for a raised bed. I have wanted to plant a little square (ok to be accurate it would be a rectangle) for as long as I can remember. Any veggies we get from this little garden will be icing on the cake!

Funny!

VBS Hometown Nazareth was a success even counting in the tornado warning on the last night. I had the privilege of playing the role of Mary. A mom stopped me the last night of VBS and said her 6 year old daughter came home the first night and said " mom you are never going to believe who I met tonight at VBS....Mary!"

Cute!

This little sheep was at VBS the last night, along with a llama, bunnies, chickens, and various other small farm animals. This little guy just wanted to follow the farmer wherever he went....it was so cute!

Real!

The first time ever trap shooting for me or is it skeet shooting...either way it is much harder than it looks. The first set I shot 0/25 and then the second set I hit the very 1st one...woo...hoo and ended up with 3/25.  This was a fund raiser for some Catholic organizations and Gary and I had a great time. Mary Jo had invited us to be part of her team. Needless to say we were not the "winning team" but it was an interesting new experience and the day ended with visiting with friends over City Barbecue!
