O What A Beautiful Morning

                                 My morning walk was especially lovely this morning.

 

The home stretch...up the hill!

 

 

Then when I came home Elle and I took some time to carve pumpkins. Elle's minion!

A Day to Remember

This fall has been  a season of change.

~Thomas off to high school.
~John a senior and discerning his next step.
~Michelle and Colleen roomies in Columbus working jobs, paying their own bills.
       and then today....
~Colleen started a new "big girl" job as a PCT (Patient Care Tech) with the Kroger Little Clinic. Full time, benefits and she gets to wear scrubs!
       and
~at 10:45 this morning Elle accepted a job at St Catherine's Hospital in Garden City, Kansas!

I am so happy that I am happy for her...truly happy for her. Working in the ICU with a goal of being a member of their Eagle Flight team is a dream come true for her....and the perks...moving expenses, a signing bonus, and something she never imagined some help paying off some of her student loans. Yes, I am happy for her and yet this mother's heart feels the ache of knowing she will be 18 hours away and I will miss her like crazy and even in that I know her sweet sister will miss her even more. Joy and sorrow...often 2 sides of the same coin.
Thank you God for these opportunities for my children...or should I say your children that you have entrusted to me.
