Labor Day week-end.
My mom and I had talked about she and Richard coming down for a cook-out but we didn't decide till Saturday night to have it on Sunday. I called our neighbor Dick and invited him and then Sunday after Mass I invited Father Beaver and as it was he had no plans so he joined us. We feasted and then sat around the table and told stories...it was lovely. That afternoon Michelle came home and Colleen came over after work and we enjoyed an evening of family time. We started watching Mad TV ( I think that is what is called...like the old Mad magazine) on Netflix which I was concerned would be raunchy but it actually was quite funny. The satire on the Lord of the Rings was excellent and made me laugh till I almost cried as did the one on with dog and the ringing bell and the salava...tion army. I took this picture as Michelle was getting ready to head back to her apartment and it was the only one I took all week-end.

Kevin's first time serving!
First Friday we usually do something after Mass. I took the boys to McD's for breakfast and then we hiked out to the pond at Gorman Nature center and made a quick stop in the nature center.
Last time we were out there John said
"mom I can see you volunteering out here when you are retired" I think he knows me!
The pond was full of these little guys and a few big ones too!
