Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real...On The Road and/or the Trail!

June was a month of being on the go. Gary and I were blessed to have another chance to get out on our bikes, this time to Put-In-Bay Island on Lake Erie. We took the Miller's Ferry over, rode around the Island, went up to the top of the Perry's Memorial, had lunch at the Boardwalk by the Lake, and made a quick stop at the beach. It was a lovely day spent with my husband. What a joy that we still enjoy each other's company and can have fun together.  John and Thomas spent the week-end at St Francis Xavier participating in YES a day of working on houses for people who need a little extra help.

On the ferry!

View from the top of the memorial.

The YES teens from Resurrection Parish.
(except Gabe and Cole who had to leave early)

The teens provided the music at Mass and did a beautiful job!

John and his friends decided to bike the entire section of the Mansfield portion of the bike trail. The first day they biked from Lexington to Butler which I believe he said was about 12 miles each way. John also rode from home to the trail and back which added some extra miles. The next day they were going to bike the other half but John had plans to go to the Marion County Fair with the Starrs family.

Michelle's adventure involved a road trip to Colorado with her  roomate Elyse who was moving out there.
5 days and 40 hours plus of driving but she loved seeing the country and she said the mountains were so beautiful it made her cry!

and today Thomas left for Boy Scout camp.

One week of swimming, snorkeling, shooting rifles and shotguns,
and hanging out with a bunch of boys in the woods!
